Speak to the Root

The Lord took me to Mark 11 again this morning. I always pray for revelation of God's Word.

I've read this passage multiple times and I believe what Jesus has spoken here. But God spoke to me this morning about something specific in verse 10.

10. Now in the morning, as they passed by, they saw the fig tree dried up from the roots.

How do you get a plant to die? You can prune a tree or plant and it will not only live, but

flourish. But, if you get to the root, it will die. When Jesus cursed the fig tree, He probably

cursed the root. The only way for no one to ever eat again from the fig tree was if the root was

affected.

What in your life needs to die? It can be spiritual, physical, emotional, or anything that doesn't

belong in you. Jesus goes on to say that whatever we ask in prayer, if we believe we receive it,

then we have it. Doubt can not be present. We have to speak to the root of whatever isn't what

it should be.

I know I harp on this subject, but I'm telling you that if we want to experience the power of

God at work in us, we are going to have to do what Jesus did and said to do. I'm giving you

what God gave me. Take it, leave it, or believe it. The choice is yours. God, help us to do things

Your way.
